A lovely cornish scene in watercolour by renowned contemporary artist, Duncan Palmar. The scene is of a lone fishing boat making its way back to port after a day’s fishing. The boat is pictured making its way between surrounding cliffs. The painting is sympathetically mounted and framed with the frame measuring 50 x 42 cm (19.5″ x 16.5″). The painting itself measures 28 x 19 cm (11″ x 7.5″).
Duncan Palmar British Contemporary fully elected member of the Royal Society of Marine Artsists. Duncan Palmar was born in Hampshire in 1964. He became a full-time artist aged only 19, his work heavily inspired by the Newlyn School of artists from the 19th century. Palmar is known for being able to expertly capture the movement and light changes found in coastal scenes. He now lives in Surrey but many of his finest works are of seascapes or scenes around the Devon and Cornish coastal coves.
