A very attractive and detailed watercolour by Bill Toop of The Place De L’Opera in Paris dated 1995. The colours are very vibrant. It depicts a rainy day in Paris with traffic sweeping past the Opera House. Mounted, framed and glazed. This picture is in great condition and attracts a lot of attention. The dimensions of the frame are 50 x 43 cm with the painting itself measuring 29 x 22 cm.
Bill Toop started life as an architectural illustrator and this is evident in his work, particularly in this painting. He later went on to become a designer for the BBC and was the artist who designed many props and alien characters in the original Doctor Who series, before becoming a full time professional artist.
