Description
A colourful watercolour of an unknown hillside town beside a river, with the church atop the hill overlooking the town, by William Isaac Aston. Beautifully painted this picture retains its colour remarkably well, despite its age. The painting is signed to the bottom left corner and is dated 1926. It is framed in a simple hardwood frame within which it is mounted in dark green and finally is glazed. The frame measures 50 x 42 cm with the painting itself measuring 33 x 24 cm.
