A beautiful little oil painting of a street scene in 19th Century Holland by renowned 20th Century Dutch artist Jan Beekhout. The frame for this painting only measures 23 x 28 cm (9″ x 11″) and the delightful painting itself only measures 18 x 13 cm (7″ x 5″) so it will fit in any space on your wall!
This delightful picture is of people in period clothing milling about outside what appears to be the back of a church. The use of different shades of the same colours in this painting to create the feel of different light is incredible. It is worth every penny of it’s £200 price tag. Signed “J Beekhout” to the bottom right hand corner.
Jan beekhout is a listed Dutch artist who was born in 1937.
